Two days program entitled "Financial Education for Young Citizens"

Faculty of Life Sciences, Institute of Applied Medicines & Research, Ghaziabad organized two days program entitled "Financial Education for Young Citizens" by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) in association with Aditya Birla Group on February 6 & 7, 2024. The key objective of this event was to educate young citizens about fundamental concepts of personal finance and to provide practical tips and strategies for managing finances effectively Mr. Chandresh Gupta, Freelance trainer from NISM, emphasized the significance of financial education in today's society and youth. Followed by the introduction, interactive presentations were conducted, covering various aspects of personal finance such as budgeting, saving, investing, debt management, etc.  He explored diverse topics ranging from how to start goal-based investing in popular class assets in India. Various financial investment areas like PPF, NSC, Sukanya Samridhu Yojana, goal bonds and Mutual funds, and trading in shares. 
Throughout the event, students were actively engaged through discussions, case studies, interactive exercises, and quizzes to judge their understanding of students. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and share their own experiences related to personal finance.
The "Financial Education for Young Citizens" event served as a valuable platform for imparting essential financial knowledge and skills to young individuals. By fostering a deeper understanding of personal finance concepts and promoting responsible financial behavior, the event aimed to empower participants to navigate their financial lives with confidence and competence.
