D. Pharm. Overview
Herodotus, the great Greek philosopher of the yore, once remarked, “Removing human suffering is a pious duty of all concerned. Therefore, those who produce drugs to cure the diseases are divine beings”. The Doctors prescribe the medicines to cure the diseases of the human beings but they are the Pharmacy Degree holders who are associated with production and sales of medicines by joining in various pharmaceutical industries. It will be earnest endeavor of our college to provide quality education and high level of motivation to the students so that they will have outstanding ability to contribute significantly to the development of health care in the country.
Diploma in pharmacy is a technique based 2 years duration course. It is suitable for the candidates who wish to start their career in pharmaceutical sciences from the first step at early age.
This course is designed by the honorable Pharmacy Council of India to familiarize the students with the basic concepts of the pharmaceutical industry. In D. Pharm course duration the candidates learn about basic skills, academic knowledge and etiquettes to survive in the market.
The basic purpose of this study is to prepare the candidates to work in hospitals, community pharmacies and pharmaceutical industry. Priory they need supervision to complete their tasks.
Background
Enlightening of National Educational Policy (NEP), PCI (the apex body to regulate pharmacy education in India) has commencement to revise the education regulation of diploma in pharmacy and proposed a new education regulation in the form of ‘Education Regulation 2020’. This new regulation take place in the syllabus as the subject codes like ER2020-subject name.
Pharm gives various kinds of opportunities. Some of them are as follows:
- As Pharmacist: As Pharmacist candidates can work in hospitals, Nursing homes, Colleges and Pharmaceutical industries and also the Industry of Medical Devices and Equipment.Apart from this pharmacists can contribute in the health care sectors to spread awareness about the medical facilities in the rural as well as urban areas.
- Growth and development: Healthcare sector is an ever growing sector for the growth and development of a suitable candidate. There is a lot of opportunities to grow and sustainability.
- 1st Sessional Examination- November, 22
- 2nd Sessional Examination- Jan, 23
- 3rd Sessional Examination- March, 23
Final PUT Examination- After the Course completion and before the final examination May, 23
The institute is affiliated & granted for 60 seats from ‘Pharmacy council of India (PCI)’ (inspection pending), All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) & Board of Technical Education, Lucknow.
Students seeking admission to the D.Pharm course at Board of Technical Education, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh will have to appear for the entrance exam (Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh) and participate in the counselling round. The D.Pharma course is a short-term program that covers the fundamentals of pharmacy. It's a good option for students who want to start their career in pharmacy quickly

How to fill JEECUP entrance examination form
Candidates can fill the JEECUP application form by the following given steps:-
Step-1: Fill the Registration Form:
- Go to the online website of JEECUP.
- Select Group“Online Application Form for Engineering & Technology Diploma – Group A”, “Online Application Form for (Group B to K) or E1 to E2”.
- Click on “Apply” link.
- Read all Instructions Carefully.
- Click on the link for “Click here to Proceed”.
NOTE:- for D.Pharm. Choose Group E
Step-2: Fill Application Form:
- Fill personal details like your name, parents name, date of birth, gender, etc.
- Fill your contact and address details.
- Choose a password and enter a security pin.
- After filling all the details, click on the submit button.
- Review the application Form.
- Click on the final submit.
- Your Application number will be generated.
- Note down your application number.
- Now click on the complete Application form.
- Fill the remaining details in application form like apply for and educational details.
- Review again the application form.
- After filling all the details in the application form, final submit the application form.
- After submission of the form, you will not be permitted to make any changes in the form. So, it is strictly advised to all the candidates to verify your filled details carefully before the form submission.
Step-3: Upload Images:
- Click on Upload Image.
- Upload scanned copy of photograph and signature in the specified format.
- Click on the save button.
Step-4: Pay the Examination Fee:
- Click on pay examination fee.
- Select mode of payment to pay the examination fee.
- Click on Proceed to Payment.
- The fee payment will be done through the debit & credit card/Net banking.
- After completing the payment process you must print or download your confirmation page. (No need to send the confirmation page to the JEECUP office)
