Orthopedics, Neurology, Cardiopulmonary and Sports Owing to the need of specialized education after Physical Therapy graduation, the Institute started up Post-Graduate programs in Physiotherapy with specializations in Orthopedics, Neurological Disorders and Sports Medicine.
The first year of the Master's Program consists of theoretical classes focusing on Basic & Advanced Therapeutics as well as routine clinical postings for stipulated hours for the students. The second year include theory classes, clinical postings, seminars, hands on workshops, dissertations & research work as per respective specialization. The Master's students take up their final year University exam at the end of second year along with their dissertation submission. The weekly schedule also includes case presentations, clinical discussions and journal clubs to keep the students updated about the recent advancements in the field of physiotherapy.

Objective
- To train skilled and efficient physiotherapist having sound theoretical knowledge and ability to apply the same into clinical practice to restore, maintain and promote optimal physical health.
- To be able to diagnose the extent and nature of neurological, musculature or sports related impairments and apply management strategies to treat them.
- To develop and provide accessible rehabilitation services.
Scope

Students seeking admission in MPT course at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow will have to appear for Entrance exam CPET i.e Common Paramedical Entrance Test and participate in counseling rounds. MPT is a two year program which runs semester wise.

Counselling Procedure
- The eligible candidates will have to register on online portal for counseling and seat allocation through official website abvmuup.edu.in by using same registration Id and password.
- Candidate has to pay Counseling registration fee and Security fee through online portal only.
- Security fee will be refunded back to the source from where payment was originally made.
- After seat allotment the candidate has to pay a seat confirmation fee . Through online mode only to ABVMU, UP to confirm seat allotment.
- After seat allotment, the candidate has to report in college in person to the allotted college for document verification to deposit administrative fee in the college and to complete admission procedure.
