Special guest lecture to commemorate World TB Day

WORLD TB DAY: On the 24th of March 2023, our college organized a special guest lecture to commemorate World TB Day. The event was attended by students and faculty members from various departments of the college and health care professionals from Jagannath Charitable Cancer Hospital, Ghaziabad. The event started with a brief introduction and overview of the disease by Dr. Sumit Kalra, Professor & Dean, Department of Physiotherapy. This was followed by a guest lecture by Dr. Sachin Goel, General Physician, Jagannath Charitable Cancer Hospital, Ghaziabad which highlighted the prevalence of TB in India and the importance of early detection and treatment. The event also included a quiz competition and general discussion on the various aspects of the disease and its prevention. The discussion was on the need for better awareness and education about the disease and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Fanish Kr. Pandey, HoD, Faculty of Life Sciences, and a pledge by the participants to take action to help prevent and control TB in their local communities.
