Students from the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology of IAMR have visited the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi for India's first Biotech Startup Expo 2022 under theme “Biotech Startup Innovations: Towards Aatma Nirbhar Bharat” on 10 June 2022, which is inaugurated by our honourable PM Modi Ji. The expo is being held to mark the completion of ten years of setting up of the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC). This Expo will provide a common platform to connect investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, researchers, industry leaders, manufacturers, bio-incubators, regulators and government officials. Around 300 stalls have been set up at the Expo 2022, showcasing applications of biotechnology in various fields including healthcare, agriculture, genomics, clean energy, biopharma, industrial biotechnology, and waste-to-value. Along with the students, Dr. Fanish Kumar Pandey, Dr. Neha Gupta, and Mr. Rahul Gautam, faculty members of FLS have also visited this Expo. The students participated actively in each and every session of the Expo with great zeal and enjoyed a lot.
