IAMR proudly presents Sportiva, our action-packed pre-event that unites colleges through the spirit of sportsmanship and competition. We invite colleges to participate in an exciting range of games – Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, Badminton, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Volleyball, Tug of War, Sprints (100m & 200m), and Arm Wrestling (Boys & Girls categories).

Rules & Regulations

Disciplinary Rules

  • A team/competitor will be allowed a grace period of 15 minutes from the scheduled time of the event. After this period, a walk-over will be awarded to the opposing team.
  • In case of any discrepancy, the decision of the Organizing Committee shall be final and binding.
  • No protest shall be entertained on the field of play. Any team leaving the field as a mark of protest or conceding a walk-over shall be considered to have lost the fixture and will be eliminated from the rest of the event. Only the remaining teams) will be allowed to continue in the event.
  • Any protest against the decision of an umpire referee on a point of rule, or any other protest related to the concerned match/event, must be submitted in writing and addressed to the Organizing Committee.
  • The written protest must reach the Head, Events with in one hour of the conclusion of the concerned game, duly signed by the competent authority of the respective college.
  • Any unruly or inappropriate behavior by participants of any college shall be dealt with strictly and may result in suitable punishment, including debarring from the event.
  • Participation under the influence of any illegal or performance-enhancing substance is strictly prohibited.
  • If any participant is found guilty, he she shall be disqualified from the competition and stripped of any medal (s) won.
  • The coach of the respective event shall also be liable for punishment.
  • Participants may be required to submit an undertaking in this regard.
  • Students/ participants are not allowed to use any instruments for hooting or creating loud noise. In case of violation, the concerned individual or team from the college shall be debarred from the event.
  • Any matter not directly covered under these rules shall be decided based on the closest applicable rules, keeping in view the spirit and intent of the event.
  • The Organizing Committee reserves the right to frame or modify rules as necessary for the smooth conduct of the event, and such decisions shall be final and binding on all.

General Guidelines

  • All participants must report in proper sports kit.
  • Only shorts are allowed (three-fourths, denim shorts, tracks, etc. are not permitted).
  • Players not wearing proper kit or shoes will not be allowed to participate in the match.
  • Teams are allowed to cheer for their own players, but hooting or jeering against opposing teams/players is strictly prohibited.
  • The decisions of the referees and umpires shall be final and binding.
  • No protests will be entertained.
  • Any team leaving the field of play as a mark of protest or conceding a walk-over shall be deemed to have lost the fixture and will be eliminated from the rest of the event.
  • Each player must carry and produce a valid College ID card at the reporting table to be eligible to play.
  • During the match, only the coach is permitted to stand near the court with the team.
  • In the absence of a coach, the team captain shall assume responsibility.
  • No other person is allowed on the court.
  • Any new rule or change in rules will be communicated to the teams by the event coordinators prior to the start of the match.
  • In case of any dispute or disagreement, the decision of the Organizing Committee shall be final.
