World AIDS Day on the theme “Equalize”

World AIDS Day 2022
Faculty of Life Sciences, Institute of Applied Medicines & Research (IAMR), organized awareness program on World AIDS Day on the theme “Equalize” on 1st Dec 2022. It consisted of Speech/Declamation, Slogan writing, Poster Making, and Quiz Competition. Dr. Fanish Kumar Pandey, Head of the Department (HOD) Faculty of Life Sciences, IAMR graced the occasion along with other faculty members & talked about various health concerns related to this pandemic. The events were planned and organised by Dr. Neha Gupta and her team.
World AIDS Day is observed with a new theme every year and this year's theme “Equalize” is aimed at WHO and its partner organisations highlighting the need for a special focus on reaching people left behind. It is calling on global leaders to rally to end inequalities that drive AIDS. Students participated in event and spread awareness about HIV and AIDS. Students also cover the area of prevention and control of AIDS.
World AIDS day is observed worldwide to pay more awareness for AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. The global HIV epidemic is not over and maybe accelerating during the Now is the time for us to once again make a leap in our response to work together to end COVID-19 and get back on track to end HIV by 2030.
These events were also graced by the presence of all faculty members Er. Rajya Vardhan Tripathi, Dr. Bhupendra Kumar, Dr. Yamini Dixit, Dr. Neha Gupta, Ms. Neetu Saharan, Dr. Rajni Tyagi, Dr. Shalini Sharma, Dr. Preeti Singh, Dr. Rekha Patel, Ms. Apurva Singh, Ms. Neha Rana who have also participated and motivated the students for active as well as healthy participation.
The students participated actively in each and every event with great zeal and enjoyed a lot. We are thankful to the management for providing their support for conducting such type of extra-curricular activities in the Institution.
